Meet Devin

Devin Marquise Carter
Devin was born on February 25, 1995 in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is the son of Deana Carter and has a twin brother, Donte. Devin has attended Burnley-Moran Elementary School and Kate Collins Middle School and will be graduating from Waynesboro High School on June 8, 2013. He plans to attend Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY and will major in Psychology/Psychiatry. After college, he hopes to go to medical school and later become a Psychologist/Psychiatrist. Devin has trained in wrestling, cross country, track, football, tennis, soccer, swimming, and gymnastics. He was a WHS Cross Country captain in 2012 where he received the "Most Improved" and "Coaches Award." He also received the "Most Improved" in 2010 and "Little Giant Award" this year in wrestling. He was Vice President of his class in 2010 and received the Silver Key for excellence for personal essays in a national writing contest in 2013. Devin has been a part of the Interact Club and the Creative Writing Club in high school and has performed with Heavenly Followers from 2011-2013. His best high school memory has been going to New York City with Concert Choir. He is going to miss cross country, his friends, and his choir - "the three most important things to me that have built me."

Meet Ali

Ali Leota Loe
 Ali was born on June 17, 1995 in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is the daughter of Tammy Thomas and Robert Loe and has four siblings; Kristi, Cody, Danielle, and Lauren. Ali has lived in Waynesboro for ten years and has attended Wenonah Elementary School as well as William Perry Elementary School and will be graduating from Waynesboro High School this June. She plans to move to South Carolina with her grandmother this fall to attend Horry Georgetown Technical College. She will be participating in the Dental Hygiene Program with the goal of becoming a dental hygienist. Ali began training in gymnastics and cheerleading when she was 4 years old. She has been involved in cheer and tumbling programs with Elevations, AIM, Little League, WHS JV and Varsity Football, and JV and Varsity Basketball. She was the captain of Varsity Basketball Cheer her Junior year. Ali has been strongly involved in YoungLife throughout her high school years. Her best experience in the past four years has been with her competition cheerleading team as they heard their name called for 2nd place at Districts after they had worked so hard day after day. Ali is going to miss being with the people she's grown up with the most after graduation.
