Yesterday (Saturday the 15th) was one of the busiest days I have had in SUCH a long time, but in the midst of the craziness, I had time to go to the cheerleading competition at Wilson Memorial High School!! This was the first cheer competition that I've ever been to, and after watching yesterday, I don't know why I've never been to one before!!! These incredible ladies and gentlemen work so hard during the week and still find time to support their school and friends by cheering them on at games as well as managing their grades and having a social life, just like any other sports team. The Giants made it to the second round where the top four teams of the day competed their routine again, so not only did they perform the entire thing once, but they did it a SECOND time and still rocked the house. I cannot even begin to imagine how much time and energy our team has spent trying to perfect and polish their routine, but let me tell you, their hard work definitely payed off yesterday!
Since this was my first competition, I was extremely unexperienced with what settings to use on my camera, so the pictures didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. But I hope you enjoy them, and I can't wait for more opportunities to take pictures of you all!
--To our cheerleading team, thank you for all of your dedication and commitment to your team and to our school. It is so inspiring to see a family that supports each other and is so willing to do what they love, no matter what anyone else has to say. You were incredible yesterday, and I cannot wait to see how far you come this year!--
"Be fierce!"
